I think happiness is definitely a choice. We can choose to be happy in the face of difficult circumstances, or we can choose to be happy in spite of our pain. Happiness is a mindset that we cultivate through mindfulness and by making the conscious decision to be happy. It’s an attitude that we develop over time by choosing to focus on the good things in life and by accepting ourselves for who we are. Life is full of ups and downs, but we can choose to be happy anyway.
